RkyMtnHigh 0 #1 April 5, 2005 So a little more than a year ago I couldn't wait to graduate AFF....then get to 25 jumps for my A license...then to 50 jumps for my B license (water training for beach jumps)...then jump 100 for my pie ceremony..and now..I'm at 170..and approaching the C license...my goals are to improve with my RW and freeflying skills and to be a coach someday soon. I love the thought of helping a newbie have that "ah ha" moment when learning a new skill...I'm not in this for any profit...I want to give back or "pay it forward" as the "payment" is in the reward of the other person's learning progression. What are your milestones via jump #s and what do you strive to achieve? _________________________________________
FrogNog 1 #2 April 5, 2005 * get to 500 jumps without breaking another bone skydiving. * do a night jump * do more RW jumps to have more fun in freefall and not be as nervous about it. (Adding other people to my skydives tends to make me sweat in the plane because now I have to not screw up my jump, but theirs as well. No, fear is not always rational.) * edited to add: lose weight so I can be at 1.2:1 on a 170 so I can jump my 100-jump crispy Sabre2. -=-=-=-=- Pull. CanuckInUSA 0 #3 April 5, 2005 It may never happen, but I recently set a goal for myself to qualify as a PST swooper before my alzeimers (sp?) and/or arthritis sets in. I figure it's nothing that 10,000 jumps can't fix and I'm working on my 1k jump milestone to happen before my 3rd sky-birthday. By the way, FlyAngel2 once made a comment to me about her watching me grow up in the sport and now we get to watch you grow up as well. Good Luck with your goals ... have fun ... be smart ... take risks that are within your risk tolerance levels, as well as your skill and experience levels. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Sheenster303 0 #5 April 5, 2005 2 days ago was my one-year anniversary of when I started AFF. So much has happened since then and I wish I had more lofty goals than to at least jump one more time, but that's all I'm hoping for right now. We'll see what the future holds for me.I'm so funny I crack my head open! P.M.S. #

Tink1717 2 #9 April 5, 2005 My goals this year are: 1. Break 1000 jumps (142 to go) 2. Get AFF rated. 3. Learn to (safely) swoop, ala Brain Germain, Scott Miller, etc...Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off. -The World Famous Tink. huka551 0 #10 April 5, 2005 I am fresh off AFF, this year I want to practice getting unstable and then stable again (specifally getting on my back), and get my A lisence. Then practice air-awareness, and break open those blinders! Learn more about canopy skills, and packing. Muff Brother 3723
cbain 0 #11 April 5, 2005 I wanted to be at 500 jumps by my 3 year sky anniverserary (April 24th). I'm going to be ~70 jumps short. So now I just want to make it to 500 this season. Christina

You have that multiple reality ability to see through the other person's eyes. Helping people experience those "Aha" moments is really fun.
