Do Diamonds Signify Expert?

I am trying to come up with a very simple but as original as I can make design for my new jump suit. I keep falling on diamonds, squares, circles and rectangles. I like the diamond idea because with the design I have come up with they seem to flow but are not too intricate or crazy. I am not interested in tribal or my own really crazy wacko thing, just something simple. How ever I look around at pictures and notice a lot of the people with diamonds on their stuff are “world class” free flyers (i.e. olav and his team and some others) I only have 200 jumps and am not very good but I still like the look of diamonds. Is skydiving like skiing, black diamond denotes expert?

This photo is from 1975. I'm third from the left in the black and white jumpsuit. Maybe you can find someone with a pile of old PARACHUTIST mags. Jumpsuits were pretty wild back in the 70s . . .

RI (Rigging Innovations) tried it as an angle in their advertising in the early 90s. It was something like their new "Flexon" rig being for the black diamond skydiver. It didn't catch on . . .

LOL, My knees, ankles, and elbows haven't worked in a good long time. But the rest of me does just fine.

Diamonds are only on award wings for 2,000 jumps or more. On jumpsuits they denote nothing about the wearer's experience. Feel free to use them in any manner you wish, without fear of appearing to be "more than you are".
