Not sure how long it would be to get to Skydive Monroe... (I'll find out sooner or later...)

52 miles to Chicagoland Skydiving Center. Under an hour unless it's rushour, then it can be 2 hours plus.

88 miles to Skydive Chicago, 90 minutes if its good, over 3 hours if its bad. This is largely why I haven't been to Skydive Chicago all year...

On this twisting 2-lane high-way, M-20, it takes about an hour or so in good weather...lots of speed traps, tho w/ staties lurking for lead foots like me!

hey ron since your from my area have you been to most/all of these DZ's? which would recommend to a guy looking for a tandem or an AFF ?

Canberra to nowra. 3 hours if i dont stop. 3 and a half if i get breakfast and fuel and stuff. Of course if i do the dirt track it can take 2 and a half, but of course i would use a rental car for this. Mind you it is one of the most fun bike rides i have been on going up and down kangaroo valley.

210km one way. Normally 420+ km per weekend. My bike is clocking up the milage but I did buy it for the sole reason so i had a way to get to the dropzone.

You really can't go wrong with any DZ in this area....

I am partial to Zhills. It has a great vibe. We have LO for when you get off student status....ect.

I travel about 1.5 hours to get to Orange in Virgina. And I would drive longer if I had to to get there.

Second Nearest - Skydive Kansas, 1 hour, 10 minute Drive

Nearest Turbine - Quantum Leap - 7 hour Drive
Next Closest Turbine - Skydive Dallas - 8 hour Drive

I wish Kansas City or Witcita would Hurry up and get something that burns Jet fuel........

My current DZ is about 15 min away. Less on the way back if I decide to land at my house. Unfortunately work is 40 to 100+ min away (traffic, grr), but we all have our priorities, right?
