GQ_jumper 4 #2 November 6, 2004 i don't know if they'd let a civilian do it but certain spec ops units do them. they use them when they have to jump someone in the doesn't know how to fly but is still mission essential, sometimes they use them to jump large bundles in when there is too much gear for each individual jumper to fly inHistory does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. flyangel2 2 #6 November 7, 2004 Nightjumps did one at the WFFC with his dog. I'm sure some one who has pictures will see this and post some. It was very cool.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. crotalus01 0 #7 November 7, 2004 yes if you are willing to pay for it. here you can do a HALO tandem but it will run you around $3,000.00 - not worth it to me when i can wait til i get my C license and do a HALO solo for $350... As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD...

GQ_jumper 4 #9 November 8, 2004 Quotedepends on what you call HALO... there was a thread around sometime ago and apparently 12k ft is already high for military... one thing about the army is they over safety everything. at that altitude if the jumpers are in the bird for more than 30 minutes O2 is required, i think any higher than 17k and its required immedeatly, i can't remember what the FAA regs are for civilians but military is usually a little more strict when it comes to stuff like thatHistory does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D.
