Nice two-out picture

this thread does not belong in the "Incidents" forum.

Why? Is not a two-out an incident? Why would you need all the bloody details? Guy got a two-out and apparently landed safely - made for a nice picture.
I just saw the picture on a russian site.

BTW, there is Cyrillic writing in the corner of the image. My niece speaks, and reads and writes Russian. I E-mailed for a translation. The name of the file is dva kryla. Dva means two, I believe. In New York City it helps to know a little of almost every language.

You found a cool photo of a two-out on the internet and decided to post it in the Incidents forum. I agree with the previous person, this does not belong here (IMHO).

If this is not an incident - what it is? Sorry to offend incident police, of course..

I'd like to say thanks for posting an interesting picture :)sticky post in this forum, specifically this:

First off, this forum is for discussion of major incidents, ones that caused (or could have caused) serious injury or death. Small incidents like your run of the mill lineover should go on safety and training.

Some may reasonably argue that a two-out is a major incident (it certainly can cause serious injury/death). But a mere picture (with no ancillary information) that suggests an uneventful landing doesn't really belong here, IMHO.

This thread will probably be moved. No biggie.

No. This is a picture posted there. (Incident waiting to happen?) :S

I am so sorry everybody got so upset. I apologize. :|

Daniel,

Certainly no apolpgy necessary - as I believe I've may have found the translated Incident Report. So your post probably DOES belong here - as does the alleged picture of your most humble apology stance (which in itself may require some further explanation from you).

What an incredibly funny translation. Does this help anyone understand this incident? I know I have only five jumps under my belt, but so far this is clearly more a humorous Talk-back thread than your usual incident thread.

OK, I’ve carefully studied the (poor) initial translation. Here’s my take on what the writer was trying to convey:

“In a Moscow incident, jumper Serjey had an <> malfunction on his main canopy. Fearing imminent death he initiated <> emergency procedures, resulting in two canopies out, configured as a bi-plane. Serjey later commented that two canopies out are DEFINATELY BETTER than none.”

I not sure, but it is seems like student main canopy "Arbalet" (~300 sq.ft, 9 cell) and "K-15" (~160 sq.ft) reserve (manufactured by "Zvezda" factory, Russia).
