Jumprun Calculator // beta

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

in the last weeks I worked in my leisure time on a tool that calculates the safety distance between jumpers exiting a plane. Because sometimes the often heard "just wait 5 seconds" is not enough! Especially when wind comes into play.

It is not final, and I do not take responsibility for the results, but feel free to have a first look:

The math behind is based on a thesis by Steven Greens, found here:

Let me know what you think. Maybe somebody may find it useful, or just fun to play around. ;)

Kind regards,
Jan / Germany

It's a fun thought.
You have every discipline but WS in there?

Also, putting it into another language would be terrific. Flash is no longer suppored, but having this as an Android/iPhone app would be fun to play with.

@ Hellis: Did you try another browser? Didnt know that IE is still around... ;)

@ faulknerwn: Thats the only thing I was able to do. I dont know other computer languages.

@ DSE: If WS is wingsuit, than it will be treated the same as tracking.

Didn't know Flash was still around...
