Airman1270 0 #41 August 5, 2004 Highest - 23,000'. Lowest exit - about 1900' (I know, I know... did a 5 second delay to boot.) Lowest opening - Around 400' following a hard reserve pull. Cut away around 2000'. flipped over stable and tried to pull several times before grabbing it with both hands. Expected a handshake & praise for keeping my head and saving my life; instead got kicked off the DZ.
ph8068 0 #42 August 5, 2004 Just got back from the Hercules boogie. One evening, the Swedish Air Force did a military parachute display from the back of the Herc. It ran in at 100ft (under radar), then suddenly popped up to 300ft and 6 paratroopers got out. I'm really not kidding about the height here - they were in the saddle for just a few seconds and one hit the ground still in line twists. Now that is hardcore skydiving. billvon 2,991 #49 August 5, 2004 >USPA accepts wingsuit fall time for logging towards your freefall time. I know; I just don't consider a dive where you exit, take care to not hit the aircraft on the descent, then navigate to a point over the ground freefall. Wingsuit glide is as much freefall as Luigi's 39 sq ft canopy jump was freefall.
