packerboy 3 #28 August 12, 2004 About the bowling ball thing.... remember that if you are dropping it over a farmers field, and can't find it afterward, that it can do aprroximately $1064.32 damage to a combine when the farmer finds it. -------------------------------------------------- In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock. ~ Thomas Jefferson
jahk 0 #29 August 12, 2004 Couldn't they get someone to sit on it as they fell? JudithImelda Marcos just wanted some cute shoes that didn't make her feet hurt. Why's that so hard to understand?

Frenchy68 0 #33 August 13, 2004 QuoteI don't think Skydive AZ drops things out of the plane OVER Skydive AZ. All of the big stuff you see in Good Stuff and the "Worlds Largest Rubberband Ball" were dropped over private property outside Kingman, AZ in the northwest portion of the state. Lou Wrong. Skydive AZ drops pretty much anything (cars, bikes, probably even corpses...) about 5 minutes fly from Eloy. Granted, not right over the DZ, but close enough. I have been in the skyvan dropping an item which had no business getting out of a plane there... I don't know where the Good Stuff footage was shot though. Frenchy68 0 #35 August 13, 2004 My opinion? Considering it was a metal cylinder weighting just over 600 lbs, I would think that many people would agree that it doesn't belong coming out of a plane at 6,000ft! But then again, that's why Skydive AZ uses that deserted plot of land... Frenchy68 0 #38 August 13, 2004 An oversized soft drink can. It was for a TV commercial. Both free fall and under round canopies, with a couple of cameramen chasing it down. It was pretty fun "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
