nael 0 #1 July 29, 2004 Does anyone know how long shipping usually takes from these guys? I ordered $600 worth of stuff 3 weeks ago and still havent got it. Granted, I'm in Australia, but I've received stuff from America before in a LOT shorter period of time. Yes, I've already emailed them about it, but I want to hear from other people if this is a one off thing, or if they always take this long. I doubt I'll be ordering from them again after this.www.TerminalSports.com.auAustralia's largest skydive gear store
mr2mk1g 10 #2 July 29, 2004 Always found them to be very helpful. You'll probably get a response from the horses mouth anyway soon enough as half the staff post on here. Could it simply be a stock issue or that an item you've ordered is litterally being manufactured for you? Remember that whilst they supply you, someone else has to supply them and manufacturers in the skydiving industry rarely have large stock levels... things are often (if not usually or always depending on the product) built to order. What was it that you ordered?
skybytch 273 #3 July 29, 2004 How was it shipped? If it went UPS or FedEx International it should have already been there, and the guys at Square 1 will have a tracking number for you. If it went via the postal service it could have gone Global Priority Mail (which should have had it there within 3 or 4 days) or regular air mail (which could take a month). Has your card been charged yet? If not, then they haven't shipped it out yet. They only charge your card when they are getting the order ready to ship (unless it's a custom item). When did you email them? Remember they're in California; they are sleeping as I'm typing this. Oh, forgot to mention - it very well could be in your country right now but stuck in Customs... sstovall 0 #4 July 29, 2004 I'm in the US but have never waited more than 5 days (including weekends) for any order from them. These even included when they backordered an altimeter I ordered. Great service every time I've dealt with them.= = -some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain, that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain
nael 0 #5 July 29, 2004 I asked for it to be shipped the quickest way - I cant remember how exactly that was, but there's about 3 different options and I asked for the quickest one. I ordered some dvds and a pro track - nothing they wouldnt have had in stock, and if it was a stock issue I'd expect an email telling me so. I havent checked if my credit card has been charged - I'll check it first thing tomorrow.www.TerminalSports.com.auAustralia's largest skydive gear store

dgskydive 0 #11 July 29, 2004 Quotebut have never waited more than 5 days (including weekends) for any order from them. These even included when they backordered an altimeter I ordered We get the stuff out as fast as we get it, but don't be surprised one day if it doesn't happen that quickly. It is really frustrating for the customer and us when we don't have stuff in stock. It would kill our mothers if they heard the way JP and I cuss at the computer when we don't have the stuff we have ordered. Nothing worse then to have to tell the customer that the item they ordered 3 weeks ago and we back ordered 2 weeks before that isn't here yet. So we understand how you guys feel when that stuff happens because it is happening to us at the exact same time. The thing that makes it worse is that the customer gets upset at us and most of the time we really don't want to talk bad about the manufacture of an item. So we just have to take the heat and try and make the customer happy. It is harder then it sounds some times to be able to get something out to you guys in a timely fashion. So to every person that has ever had to wait for your stuff from SQ 1.......... Sorry! Dom

Brains 2 #13 July 29, 2004 Well, i read your post and all the responses. Seems there has been a response from the guys at Square1. I can tell you that i bought my first rig from them, then a reserve and cypres, then a used main, then some shirts and goggles, then another reserve, then some camera stuff, then another container with reserve, then another used main. Never had a single problem with any order Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

SkydiveNFlorida 0 #16 July 29, 2004 Quotemaybe a little patience might be in order.... Man, it's harsh on here. This person already waited 6 weeks. However, there do seem to be some communication issues, i'm sure they did attempt to e-mail about the item that was out of stock. Seems like a case of e-mail getting screwed up (on buyers side), not lack of patience. Angela.

This person already waited 6 weeks. i think it was 3 weeks in the original post. 6 weeks would be a bit much, i agree. but there is a telephone number she could've used as well. it may seem harsh, but it grates me to see how quickly people start dealer bashing at the first little hold up/snag/missed email. see how many "such and such didn't get back to me and i'm pissed..." posts there are when they only gave them a few hours to respond. not everyone lives on dz.com or has immediate access to computers like others do, so patience does need to be implemented. if THAT is harsh, then so be it. i just call 'em like i see 'em. blues, arlo
 SkydiveNFlorida 0 #19 July 29, 2004 QuoteQuoteThis person already waited 6 weeks. I, for some reason, thought it had been 6 weeks. 3 weeks, while still a lot, is not *as* bad. Still, seems to me like e-mail problems on the buyers part, and no need for bashing from them or on them... somtimes shit happens. I do agree that the phone should have been used before posting on here, I have no idea how much phone calls from Australia cost, tho. Certainly the post could've been more tactful. So mine was delivered back, they sent the new one out and it cleared canadian customs all within three weeks. My Wings order through them involved some custom stuff, some "ah, i rethought that stuff" on my side and communication with them was quick and VERY customer friendly.
