SullyFlyer 0 #1 February 11, 2004 Hey I was wondering if I need to get my B-License to get my C-License? I checked the SIM and it reads that one needs an A to get a B, but it changes the wording for the C. It reads that you either need a B or all the skills and training required for a B to get a C. Maybe I'll have to take both tests? ~ Fear is the thief of dreams...
Ron 10 #2 February 11, 2004 No, you just have to take both tests, and pass all the things on the card... I never had an A or B"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers,
panzwami 0 #3 February 11, 2004 Yeah, I don't think you actually have to have a B-License in hand to get a C, but you do have to meet all the requirements for B to get C. That means you will have to take both tests. Matt -----
nbblood 0 #4 February 11, 2004 Yeah, I went B straight to D, just had to take both tests and meet all requirements. Didn't actually have to have the other license. SkymonkeyONE 4 #5 February 11, 2004 A smart person would keep track of the "tasks" that must be completed as they go, that way they don't waste an inordinate amount of time trying to dig them up and "doctor" their logbook when the time comes to get that higher license. sunnydee123 0 #6 February 11, 2004 I was a dork in my first year (which I just wrapped up ) and got each license as I passed the requiremenets but you do NOT have to.....like everyone is saying - just pass the written and have all the other stuff you need associated with each one you wanna skip..... masher 1 #10 February 12, 2004 I just handed in my B and C licence cards at the same time. One licence fee, two licences. Now only 15ish jumps from my D.-- Arching is overrated - Marlies
lug 4 #11 February 12, 2004 You have to satisfy all the requirements for the B license, maneuvers, accuracy, freefall time, total jumps, and pass the written test. As for apply for the B license at that time? No you can hold out and go for the C or D license instead. Now if you are B license qualified but don’t have it or you are going to hold out, you can do night jumps.Memento Mori
