RaulDuke 0 #26 July 20, 2004 I just smile and say, "I skydive to decrease the odds of me dying while motorcycling." That one gets some funny looks. **You want a toe? I can get you a toe, dude.**

Tink1717 2 #28 July 20, 2004 Skydiving is like religion: for those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who don't understand, no explanation is possible. For get about the whuffos. They don't understand and never will.Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off. -The World Famous Tink. (I never heard of you either!!) catfishhunter 2 #30 July 20, 2004 Or send them thishttp://www.maisonneuve.org/blog/index.php?itemid=311 I read that in bonfire and I have to say that is about as close to explaining why we do what we do. MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have. We must live life to the fullest EVERY DAY. Everything we do should have a greater purpose. dninness 4 #34 July 21, 2004 Guy I work with found out I was a skydiver, and he said the prototypically whuffo thing: "Dude, don't you know you could be killed doing that?" I put my hand against my head in mock horror. "Holy shit, I didn't even think about that! Wow, man, thanks for warning me." I then grabbed him by both shoulders and leaned in, saying "Thanks, man, you may have just saved my life!" He doesn't talk to me much anymore. Not sure if its the skydiving posters in my office, or the t-shirts...NIN D-19617, AFF-I '
riggerrob 643 #35 July 21, 2004 Years ago I gave up on correcting whuffos' misconceptions. Now I just laugh at the same time as them. They just don't understand that I am laughing at their ignorance. I get a chuckle out of them putting their feet in their mouths.
