seeme 0 #1 June 15, 2004 Hi all... I've just open a new DZ in Gatineau Quebec Canada and I'm looking for info. on making a jump door for a Navajo. If anyone knows where the is a Navajo in use for skydiving with a modified door? I would like to contact them for info. Cheers! masher 1 #2 June 15, 2004 These guys use a Navajo http://www.waskydiving.com.au Don't know what the door is like, I've only jumped it once.-- Arching is overrated - Marlies
Squeak 17 #3 June 15, 2004 Like Matt said WA Skydiving uses one. Robin O'Neil is the guy who runs the DZ, he should have plans or specs (but don't expect it free). It's basically a plug door with a pad bolt on each side to lock it in place. Once the door is open they use a seat belt strap to secure it in place. The door also has an approximately 6mm stainless steel cable attached to it and the floor to prevent it from falling out of the plane. I hope you got it really cheap because it's not a very good jump plane. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? darrenspooner 0 #4 June 15, 2004 I jumped a Navajo about 2 years ago in Byron Bay, Australia. Don't know if they still use it.
