smiles 0 #3 June 9, 2004 Quoteprobably one of the nelsons or mullins kids... or Farrington's ??? My son's grew up around d.z.'s and have made tandems but have no interest to date in the sport--wonder if being exposed to it as kids made it become passe? Meanwhile- the son of owner/operaters Jess Harper(my home d.z. Canada) has just logged his 1000th at age of 21 and now an instructor/tandem instructor/freeflyer/rw/demo jumper/bird man/pilot/swooper........etc. He was actually in freefall before he was born. Watching him "grow" over the last 15 yrs. and skydiving with him(he was on my 1000th load) has been absolutely incredible- in a month he will have more jumps logged than me.SMiles

bertusgeert 1 #6 June 9, 2004 Skydgod7777 (kelly keeny) posts here. I saw him at SGC, someone said - look, that guy is 16 and has over a 1000 jumps. I didn't believe him. But he does, lucky friggin kelly keeny. His friend Vern (dunno if he posts) has over a 1000 as well if I am right, and he's 20. Two kickass guys. PM him, he's on here every now and then. --------------------------------------------- As jy dom is moet jy bloei!
AndyAnderson 0 #7 June 9, 2004 Charlie or Jeff. They were at 1000 by 13 or 14. I will find ouy this weekend. Charlie (25) now has 8000+ and Jeff (17) has 4500+. Nobody else comes close to reaching 1000 at such young age. Andy.
FallingILweenie 0 #8 June 9, 2004 Rook has over 9000 and is around 22 or 23, if i remember correctly.
anthonylock 0 #9 June 9, 2004 is there no minimum age before you are allowed to jump in the US? well obviously not.. at least not for DZO's kids?
AndyAnderson 0 #10 June 9, 2004 There is no minimum or maximum age for jumping in the USA, however if you are an individual member of the USPA you have to follow the club rules. If you are not a club member you can not break their rules. You do not have to join a club to jump in the USA. Andy.
packerboy 3 #11 June 10, 2004 So when did the Nelson kids start jumping? -------------------------------------------------- In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Kramer 0 #12 June 10, 2004 QuoteSo when did the Nelson kids start jumping? I'm just repeating shit I've overheard, but someone told me that Rook Nelson had almost 3k jumps on the day he turned 16. So I'm guessin he probably had a grand around 13 or so. (<---all speculation) The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
Skydive2 1 #13 June 10, 2004 I had 1,000 right around my 18th birthday, but the Mullins kids make that look like nothing. Lance

JoeyRamone 0 #17 June 10, 2004 The pictures are cool too; Rook has one where he is going out of a hot air balloon. I think Roger made his harness out of seat belts from cars....
rebellogan 0 #18 June 10, 2004 I did a tandem at WTS last year and there was a Mullins kid there who was 11 or 12 and had almost 400 jumps.
