why is it called a Mr Bill? Did Bill Booth do the first one or something?

Afraid not. It has to do with an old skit from an American show called Saturday Night Live. There was a claymation series with a character called Mr. Bill and various things of bad luck would happen to him. Give it a Google and I'm sure you'll find some info on it.

Your arms should be routed under the other persons harness. Legs should be well under the lowest part of the container. Have fun...

got to disagree with ya here on one pint.. arms under the harnes... had a couple jumpers at my z try this and they almost dislocated one jumpers shoulder cuz he had his arms under the harness... canopy opened up hard and the mr. bill was jerked off... if he had been holding on to just the harness just below the three rings he would have been fine but becuse he had his arms under the harnes thay got yanked and he almost had to use his left hand to deploy his reserv instead of his hurt right arm to deploy his main....

i think it is also a misconception you have to have a big canopy to do this.... just not to small and one that opens nice and slow..... when i can talk my frind into it we are gona do it on my safire 149... it opens so soft it';ll be perfect....
