skydiver51 0 #26 March 11, 2004 I selected safety and training. But more specific the attitude of the dz and jumpers towards safety. Safety is my number one concern when checking out a new dz. I went to one dz when I was got started back into jumping and saw a board for a betting pool as to when a certain jumper was going to have another cutaway. I later found out other things in the way of safety that were out of hand so I went else where to start my return to skydiving.
skychic79 0 #27 March 16, 2004 My husband and I travel 45 to Palakta verses an 30mins to the one in Jacksonville, Fl. Palakta has great AFF instructors and other skydivers. The Attitude of the DZ is like our family. Jacksonville has bigger planes but is more costly and we felt like we were in the way there.
WrongWay 0 #28 March 16, 2004 It's all about the people dude. I look for a dz with great flyers that I can learn from, and a friendly attitude. And lucky for me, usually the good flyers go to places with good planes, so it's kind of a given. Wrong Way D #27371 Mal Manera Rodriguez Cajun Chicken Ø Hellfish #451 The wiser wolf prevails.
