Line twists and risers

Recommended Posts

After my minor incident on aff1 the other day.....i was wondering if it is a common problem having the risers closed in on each other with line twists? (I hope you can picture what i mean..) If they were worse twists i would of had a MUCH harder time getting my head behind the risers and wasted a lot of time on a canopy that i havent even seen or checked yet. Just something i wanted to clear up.. :)

First of all, talk to your instructors about this and your concerns, they'll explain it well for you (that's what they're there for).

Common? Well, it happens, that's why people are moving to having hard inserts in their risers for the cutaway cable.

Still the same drill as linetwists though.

Sidenote: Don't be afraid to pull one of your instructors or the S&TA aside to ask them questions. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. If you're always asking, you'll always be learning...
