Newbie 0 #1 February 17, 2004 when and where does this happen? Anyone know of anything coming up? I want to jump without relative wind to see how it is (plus the ride up would be cool too no doubt!)PS if anyone has any idea on prices too that would be handy "Skydiving is a door" Happythoughts
piisfish 140 #2 February 17, 2004 usually more (much) expensive than plane... check out with balloon clubs, if anyone would drop you if you go help them every once in a while... Like that you would discover their world, be useful to them, and they would reward you with free jumps. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
TrickyDicky 0 #3 February 17, 2004 Jumping from an A/C thats not cleared for jumping or with a non jump rated pilot has serious consequences in UK if you get caught. I heard there was a guy who jumped from a microlight and was found out... lost BPA membership and I think the microlight pilot lost his licence too. AFAIK Helecopter jumps are fairly rare in UK (unless in military) and ballons even rarer. They were supposed to have a balloon at the Wiggaz festival at hib last year but I heard it fell through. trumpetfish 0 #4 February 17, 2004 Usually, if im not mistaken, you have to go to boogie's in the uk for any kind of speciality jump. I'd recommend going to the states. You could get a balloon jump, heli jump, maybe even a bi-plane jump, ahhh the list goes on. Probably all within a week! With the dollar as weak as it is there's no better time! heli jump in the states around $30. Bi-plane jumps around $70, balloon jump probably around $30-$50 ps. bi-plane jumps rock
 Zeemax 0 #5 February 17, 2004 Headcorn has Heli jumps every so often.
