velvet 0 #1 February 5, 2004 Hello, I'm new and was wondering what was out there for magazines? Are there several? What do most people read? Another dumb question, but are there any good instructional videos? Will they help? Thanks and see you in the skies.
SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 February 5, 2004 Huh? Try Parachutist magazine, which comes free monthly to every member of the USPA, or Skydiving magazine (produced in Deland, FL) You can get subscriptions to both. Do a search.

AggieDave 6 #7 February 5, 2004 As far as a Magazine bringing you the latest in the sport, the latest gear, the reviews of competitions, stories of people, advertisements, etc. THIS (dropzone.com) is really the best one out there. Instead of reading about a competition, you end up chatting with the people that were in it. Instead of hearing about gear, you get to chat with people from the company and sometimes even the owner of the company. For instance, Bill Booth moniters the forums and posts. I would rather have this site then my monthly Parachutist.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
slug 1 #8 February 5, 2004 IMO Dropzone.com is the Best skydiving magazine. No snail mail, think cyber space! R.I.P.
lazyfrog 0 #9 February 5, 2004 it shouldn't... you need recent flash version. but basically it's the homepage of paramag, the french magazine, which is very interesting, with much more pics and less ads than parachutist (which I also like because some text articles are very interesting)---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT

The latest issue had a beautiful portfolio of Jussi Laine - 11 pages, amazing photos! Check it out!!!

lazyfrog 0 #14 February 7, 2004 but the best thing to do is to buy the paper version, as they do not put much on the internet site.---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT
