Vapor 0 #1 December 16, 2003 They were right: get over the level 4 hump and it's all good (and hella-fun)! No better feeling in the world -- although I may have to modify that when I get my A license. Can't wait for my first solo next weekend. Any advice on what a first piece of (post-altimeter) gear should be? Full-face helmet, maybe? Off to buy beer...
RoadRash 0 #3 December 16, 2003 Congratulations!!! I bought a full face as my first helmet, but then got into freeflying and bought a freefly helmet, so it all depends. If I were you, I would continue renting gear for a while. See what you are into, and maybe take a look at other gear and ask around (that is most important!!) Have fun on your first solo!!!!! kai2k1 0 #4 December 16, 2003 Congrats!! Trust me, This is where the real fun begins. There's no truer sense of flying than sky diving," Scott Cowan
Vapor 0 #5 December 16, 2003 What kind of helmet did you get? I hear good things about Z1s, tried one on and my only gripe would be that the visor release is hard to push with gloves on.
