FrogNog 1 #1 December 5, 2003 Just got off the phone with GF. She vented about work then on my turn I complained that I checked the 10-day forecast for weekends' weather one county North, one county South, another county South from that, one county West, total other end of the state, four cities across the Canadian border, and one city just across the state border to the South. All of them had nearly identical shitty forecasts. She says she's concerned for me. Thinks it's unhealthy that I would spend 8 hours driving in a day for a jump. This was before I mentioned I was looking for any $49 roundtrip flights to California or Vegas. Does anyone else think this is within the bounds of reasonable and healthy? I'm in frickin' Seattle in December, here! -=-=-=-=- Pull.
Casch 0 #2 December 5, 2003 I had to drive 8 hours today only to deliver a friggin jumpsuit. Weather was sooooooo bad. and traffic was horrid and it was raining so bad today eh? I drove from west of Portland up to Kapowsin and back
FrogNog 1 #3 December 5, 2003 Dude, why did you do that? Shoulda sent it UPS, it would be here in a day and there's no good weather scheduled until April. Seriously, no good weather for the next 10 days in this area, as I posted above! One day you'll have to meet us halfway at Toledo to jump their Beech 18. -=-=-=-=- Pull. sdgregory 0 #4 December 5, 2003 I would question your sanity if you weren't searching at least a 250 mile radius around you. I check Columbus, Rittman, Xenia, Toledo and South Pointe, Ohio. Hell if you look at the map that covers the whole state then I check WV, IN, KY just in case and in each case I am fully prepared to drive the distance. At this pointe I figure if they got planes going up I want to be on em cauz pertty soon noone is going up in the area. Take advantage of all opps! WrongWay 0 #5 December 5, 2003 Quote She says she's concerned for me. Thinks it's unhealthy I've been there dude, and I'm sorry to say, but it's only the beginning. It seems to me from what you posted that she thinks this may be some sort of "phase" that you'll eventually grow out of. As a skydiver, you know this to be quite the opposite. So now she's started the bitching phase, which will lead to jealousy, which will lead to asking you not to do it, which will lead to telling you not to do it, and we both know what comes after that. THE ULTIMATUM. So IMHO (and I don't know how serious you are about this one so take with a grain of salt) you should CUT AWAY now before it's too late..... No matter what you choose to do, good luck to ya pal. Wrong Way D #27371 Mal Manera Rodriguez Cajun Chicken Ø Hellfish #451 The wiser wolf prevails. She's gonna get in the way of your skydiving." Right now I'm OK with it, because she hasn't tried any subterfuge on me. Her discomfort with my jumping hasn't been hidden. Whether it gets worse will have to be seen. Every jump I make without incident makes her calmer. Every adversity I experience makes her less calm. (But I can't help telling people about adversity I've survived; it's harmless if I got to the ground safely!) I just need to lay down the law with her. That usually makes it all good (with her; special deal I have here). I figure equal time for the two loves in my life. -=-=-=-=- Pull.

Sorry dude, but depending on how often you jump, I'll give it a month. Hey there could be hope, but at this point, I doubt it. Either way, good luck bro!!
