Lussebulle 0 #1 December 4, 2003 Now I got advice about when to flare but can you tell me how I should position my legs when I land. I see people having straight vertical legs, others having bent legs in front of them... I guess everything works more or less but is there a position you recommend? Casch 0 #2 December 4, 2003 This early in your progression, it's a good idea to have your legs together, knees slightly bent and prepared to PLF if you have too. Then when you know that you won't need to PLF, just do what's comfortable. There's a bunch of different ways to position yourself, it'll come natural to you soon enough When I land, I will have my legs together and when I am half way or so through my flare, I'll move one leg forward and one leg back if I'm going fast and just slide across the ground on my feet then run it out, if it's a slow landing and I come to a complete stop when I touch down, my legs are just how they would be if I was jumping off of a stair.
