ACMESkydiver 0 #31 November 28, 2003 A-ha! Me too! Can I be a female Anvil too? I've slowed my belly fall to 134mph...and hugging the air, sucking in the gut, baggy freaking clothes I can get down to 126mph (I was pretty proud of that!) but most people have ta fold up ta catch me at 136mph give or take I'd say?? ...and my buddy up here was freeflying whilst I was in a nice pronounced arch on my belly...about 158mph...that was much fun, little lightweight that he is...fastest I've gotten was 199mph -yeowza!! I had help, we were doing a hybrid. Much fun! So am I in?? Can I play with the cool kids too?? ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. EricaH 0 #33 November 28, 2003 I had our load organizer do a 2 way belly w/ me. He said, great fast fall rate - you'd do super in the base for a larger way. Well, I knew it was meant as a compliment but also knew it meant I was a bigger girl . It's just hard to shed wuffo thinking. Now I sit fly & act as a ball for the newer head down guys. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #35 November 28, 2003 You guys are killing me. I guess that I am outta THIS party. I'll get back to you when I learn how to fly on my head as you all fly on your belly ... just don't ARRRRRCH too hard!!!
BlindBrick 0 #36 December 1, 2003 Hang in there bud, you're not alone. I've not had a chance to weigh my MT-1X but I am estimating my new exit weight is going to be around 310. All it takes is persistence and once you get some basic belly skills, your dance card will be full with freeflyers wanting to do hybrids. -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it." atsaubrey 0 #37 December 1, 2003 i hear ya...did my first solo jump yeserday and once the beer started flowing freeflyers were asking all kinds of questions and we plan a wicked hybrid in a few weeks."GOT LEAD?"
bsoder 0 #38 December 1, 2003 I guess I fit this category. I am about 265 now, so exit weight of about 295. On a couple jumps this weekend I lurked RW pairs, let them go out first, gave them a couple second headstart, then dove after them. That was fun. BlindBrik, Your MT-1X rig should weight some where around 48 to 52 lb. It's a cord inside a suit between a loop worn on the hand and a point near the middle of the suit. (There is one of these cords for each arm.) When the jumper extends his arm, this cord will begin to go taught. The swoop cord runs through the armpit wing and controls how big the wing acts. The behavior of a swoop cord is most obvious to an observer when it's on a camera suit. If you watch video of people videoing other people while wearing camera suits, you can see sometimes they stick their arms out a bit and that slows them down right away. -=-=-=-=- Pull.
