ZoneRat 0 #5 November 22, 2003 Hey Alright! You've skydived more miles than most have people have even flown! (How far is 24 hours of freefall I wonder?) I suck at this kinda thing, but I'll give it a try anyway: 24 hours x 120 mph= 2,880 miles... that would be like falling from, say: Chicago to Las Angeles (2034 miles) then tracking from LA to Albuqueque (804) with a 42 mile swoop to an off DZ landing (short 16 miles) from Sante fe. or: From New York to San Diego (2824)... That's rfom the Atlantic to Pacific ocean! Jeesh, dude... that's a lot of freefall... Congrats!!!! (Let's see: 24 hours of freefall x say, 60 jumps per hour X oh... $18.00/ jump= ... ooh... naw... let's not go there...)“There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophies.”

I started jumping down the road from you in Annawan, IL. I have only made a handful from less than 13,000ft and a whole bunch from 17.5 - 22k, using oxygen on big ways. The longest freefall was 1:49 from 21,500ft....
