Markj 0 #1 November 17, 2003 Hi Do any of you guys have problems with your goggles misting up in the plane all the time. Also under canopy. Any suggestions on how to stop this from happening? thanks
samhussey 0 #2 November 17, 2003 Rub a tiny bit of spit round the inside, that works for me...
velo90 0 #3 November 17, 2003 Rub a tiny bit of washing up liquid on the inside. Works for full face helmets too.
darkwing 5 #4 November 17, 2003 there are several anti-fog agents. Maybe check with some camera flyers. Ours use some stuff called "cat crap". I have some stuff provided by my helmet manufacturer (Bonehead). -- Jeff My Skydiving History
Markj 0 #5 November 17, 2003 Cool, Will give those a try. Will also look around for some anti fog stuff, thanks.
EdC 0 #6 November 17, 2003 I don't put mine on until the door opens, that seems to do the trick. You might also try Rain-X, I think it is available at most auto parts stores. Big Ed

Skream 0 #9 November 17, 2003 I use armor-all. Yeah, the stuff you use on the plastic in your car. No it doesn't make them greasy or smudgy. Works great. Just spray it on and rub it in. Got it as a tip in a woodworking magazine.--- Michael Teator Lexington, Kentucky
kai2k1 0 #10 November 17, 2003 Armour All?? Wow I never knew that. Ill definetly keep some of that in the car. There's no truer sense of flying than sky diving," Scott Cowan
Markj 0 #11 November 17, 2003 I try to put them on at the last minute but they still mist up pretty quick. They also mist up under canopy though. I have looked around on the net a bit and found a anti fog spray. Its for the inside of swimming goggles but I am sure it will work fine. It was only £4 so no stress if it doesnt work. I am sure it will though. Amour all, never head of that. I don't think you get that here in the U.K. thanks
chuteless 1 #12 November 17, 2003 if the goggles have a semi-rigid frame, drill a small hole or two in each side to let air in behind the goggle. It will keep them clear at all times and you'll never feel any wind effects through the small 1/8th inch holes
Nightingale 0 #13 November 17, 2003 I'd try the anti fog stuff they sell at dive shops. Works great on my scuba mask. I don't put my skydive goggles on til 10K, and just hold up the corner so they don't fog... but now that you've reminded me, I'm going to go looking for the anti-fog.
