Amazon 7 #51 November 14, 2003 Awww geee Ok I am ignoring the poll as a former military jumper who did about 40 static line jumps before freefall....and at least 30 of those were into the water I got lots more after that as well. Sport jumps were 5 static line.. the first one was on a Papillon rigged with a static line. I stood it up And the fifth one was my first cutaway from a wad of crap streamer. KrisFlyZ 0 #54 November 14, 2003 QuoteWell it seems that the number 13 is lucky afterall. Sunny, it doesn't matter how many S/L we did, what matters is how great we turned out. Both my brother and I are newbies. My brother said he did 17 S/L jumps before moving on to AFF. He's doing pretty good in the AFF progression. He jumps at Kapowsin. I have not done a single S/L jump. I started with the AFF Level 1 at Lexington, Tx. I then moved on to the STP Solo progression at Spaceland. Different places have different ways of instruction.
