How many jumps did you do in your first year of skydiving?

Recommended Posts

From your sky birthday til your first year anniversary, how many jumps did you complete? Did you get a slow start or did you jump in full blast from the start? I guess it doesn't apply to people who havn't been in the sport a year, like me! But I'll sit back interested in what the results will be.

Thanks! :)

Well, I spent all my money on Aff and when I graduated. I rented gear for like 20 jumps or so and figured out how much it was costing me so I bought my first rig a Maroon SST Jumpshack Racer Rig . It was $850.00 for the whole thing so after that I was low on funds for a while and didnt jump as much until I could scramble alittle to make a few jumps..Needless to say I was Damn happy with having my own gear and jumping on my own...One thing about my rig is it was one of the original Flyaway rigs from Pigeon Forge Tn Windtunnel...B|

100. On the nose

In a seaosonal dropzone!!

Started September 1, 2001 with an FJC. Sept 11 didn't actually affect my jumper numbers that year, but the plane needing a bottom end min-October did. 15 before the plane died, then a 6 month layoff due to snow.

Open season April 20, 2002. Beer cutaway April 21 2002 (first of the season for the DZ). Jump #100, August 31, pie. Jump #121 finished the season on October 20.

First calendar year = 100. First full seaon = 107. This year...blew chunks. Sure, they were all 'quality' jumps but there weren't nearly enough of them [:/].

It was real slow my until my second skybirthday. That's when I turned it up, WAY up. My skybirth was May 21, 2000. March of 2002 I did my 100th jump. Between March 2002 and now I have done 750-ish jumps.

My skydiving birthday was July 19 and have only got 15 jumps in so far, would have more but have no control over clouds, rain and wind :( otherwise would have been more. I am from the Boston area and it is getting cold but I will keep jumping as long as they let me...snow jumps!!! One more thing I finally landed on my feet on my last 2 jumps...WoooHooo!!!...very excited about that and I did my 1st jump on my own pack job..Yea, I know...BEER x 2
