The only "bad" thing I've noticed is it usually reads 500 feet or so lower than everybody else's altimeters at altitude. No biggee, it's always accurate enough when I need it. Better to believe you're lower than you are than to think you're higher than you are.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. I personally have found them too frgaile and innacurate for continued use. I use Alti III wrist mounts. They are accurate and bulletproof in my experiance. Have not noticed a problem with it reading high or low. freakydiver 0 #8 October 22, 2003 I've had mine for 8 years. It is pretty accurate until around 10 grand and then starts to really flake. I rarely check my alti above 5-6 grand though.
