AAppleyard 0 #1 August 12, 2003 Please whwre can I find more information about the rigid gliding wings that Felix Baumgartner used to glide from Dover to near Calais on 31 July 2003? Please what is the correct forum for such a discussion? I am very sorry if I broke any of dropzone's rules raising this subject.

quade 4 #3 August 12, 2003 You could do a search here on the numerous threads about his stunt. This will get you started. As to the exact details of the wings, I doubt you'll be able to find much since Felix doesn't seem interested in sharing any of the information beyond what he already has given the press.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
TheMonkey 0 #4 August 12, 2003 try http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=203101 and don't apologize, the dz.com pc police are lurking and can sense weakness like a shark smells blood, they will tell you to take it talk back, but don't listen...wait for my signal, then we shall attack, victory will be ours... --------------------- Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience! SkymonkeyONE 4 #5 August 12, 2003 It was thought that Felix was jumping a "real" SkyRay, but that is not the case. The two that he has are either copies or modified versions of two SkyRays that the German company that builds them sold some time ago to RedBull. You can read all about it in the wingsuit forum.
