skydivejersey 0 #1 July 24, 2003 We are looking to offer these at our next boogie and I am trying to find a nice picture of a tandem exiting a helicopter to put on our website. Anyone know of any pictures I might be able to "borrow" for a month. (preferably out of a Bell 109! ) Many thanks, Al.

riggerrob 643 #7 July 24, 2003 The photos show an Alouette III and an A-Star. I have done tandems out of an Alouette II, talk about cramped! The only fixed wing airplane that is more cramped is a Maule!

relyon 0 #10 July 24, 2003 That's an Mi-8 or Mi-17. I'd much rather exit the rear than the side door though. Bob
SkymonkeyONE 4 #11 July 24, 2003 There were several tandems done out of John Edowes Allouette at Panama City Beach, FL during the PST meet. I am SURE there were some pics taken.
riggerrob 643 #12 July 25, 2003 QuoteSure its not a Squirrel? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> If you want to be picky, what North Americans call an Aerospatiale "A-Star," Europeans refer to as a Europcopter AS 350 "Ecureuil", which is the French word for squirrel. I made a few jumps out of an A-Star during the 1984 Canadian Para-Ski Championships. Bid door, easy exit, etc. Only a little cramped when you put four big guys in snow suits across the back seat.
