fundgh 0 #1 September 17, 2003 What is the material that should be studied for the C-License exam? Is there specific or general subjects that are covered on the test, and should be looked at more closely than others?...FUN FOR ALL!
lazerq3 0 #2 September 17, 2003 I just took the B and C test and they both have questions dealing with piloting and skydiving.. so to say to study for one more than the other I' d say know it both becuase I found it pretty equal in questioning myself!! There is one question on there though That I disagree with....anyone know what BIG WIGS at the USPA to tlak to about it is??? Or anyone with a D lic wanno PM so maybe I can ask you?? jasonFreedom of speech includes volume

Unstable 9 #4 September 18, 2003 I thought that the C-licence test was 100 times easier than the B test - Some things from the C-test i can remember would be: - Basic Cloud Clearance FAR's below & above 10 k - Sizes & classifications of Demonstration Landing areas - Rigger Qualifications, basic Reserve Repack cycle, and authority to pack mains & reserves, Everything else is common sense, things you learned in your FJC - Good Luck!!=========Shaun ==========

pilotdave 0 #6 September 18, 2003 I found the C much easier than the B. More common sense, less useless facts. The sim says what sections to study. Read those sections and you'll be ready for the test. Try to remember specifics, not just concepts. Dave
andy2 0 #7 September 18, 2003 whuffo you get your C license? Why not just wait til the D (or not at all if you just want to be a fun jumper)? What's the point? --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
pilotdave 0 #8 September 18, 2003 Well, personally I never bothered to get the B. I hit the 100 jump mark before Sept 30th, so I might as well get the C while I can. Then I'm finally (officially) qualified to do night jumps, etc. It took me 5 years to reach 100 jumps. It definitely won't be another 5 to hit 200, but it won't be next month either. Reaching 500 for a D seems very far off to me right now. So, yeah, the C has no major advantages for me over a B, but I didn't have one of those. I mean sometimes there'll be a C license minimum to jump when the winds are squirrely, but having a C doesn't mean I should be jumping then anyway so that makes no difference. andy2 0 #10 September 18, 2003 I was under the impression that if you have the equivalent of said license you can jump when you would need said license (I think this excludes demos and ratings and such though). --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm... pilotdave 0 #11 September 18, 2003 All depends on the DZ. I've done 2 night jumps and only officially have an A license. I was B qualified except for water training before the first one, and completely C qualified including the test before the second. But I know for a fact where I used to jump, they wouldn't let me make a night jump without actually having a B license. Dave
fundgh 0 #12 September 18, 2003 Today I am completely C-qualified. 2 weeks from now, I will no longer be C-qualified. I would like to get my coach rating when the opportunity arises, and I will be MUCH COOLER if I have a C-license. That is what C stands for, right?!...FUN FOR ALL! Stik 0 #13 September 18, 2003 There is a study guide for the B and C test in the back of the 2004 SIM. It lists the important sections of the manual to look at. Hope that helps.. Pete
