bunge 0 #1 May 15, 2003 I'm happy that one of the DZ's I jump at regulary is only 15 minutes from my house. before they opened, Crosskeys was the nearest at 1 1/2 hours travel time. (Still love to go there at least twice a month!) BUNGE I don't hate them, I just like us better.
AggieDave 6 #2 May 15, 2003 Less then 15 minutes, but I might as well just live there, I'm there more then I'm not (I'm averaging 6 days a week now a days).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

kingbunky 3 #6 May 15, 2003 i posted pretty much the same poll about a year ago. it was on the last version of the site so the poll is broken now, but i found that a more interesting question was 'who has moved to be closer to a dz?" divingduck 0 #7 May 15, 2003 yay! I live only a few miles away from the dz! Of course, I inherently chose a university close to it (but I got into college before I got into skydiving. Proof that god has a sense of humor)... If I loved you anymore I would have a stroke
SLOfreefall 0 #8 May 15, 2003 I drive approx. 2 hrs. to the dz of choice. There is one 1.5 hrs. away, but the extra half hour is worth it!

dreamsville 0 #21 May 15, 2003 I guess skydivers are always trying to figure out new excuses to post a thread or a poll, knowing that others are just looking for something to answer. Don't we have anything better to do?I live a little over an hour from 2 turbine DZs and 1.5 hrs from the third one, where I usually go. There is a fourth DZ with a caravan also 1.5 hours away. When I know more about my upcoming work situation I may buy or rent a trailer at the DZ as some friends have done (water, shower, electricity, WI-FI internet available). | I don't drink during the day, so I don't know what it is about this airline. I keep falling out the door of the plane. Harry, FB #4143

Robin 0 #23 May 15, 2003 Um...Bunge, weren't you on your way to work a few hours ago? Did the detour sign jump out in front of you? I'm fortunate enough to live 30 mins from one dz and approximately 1.5 - 2 hrs from 3 others. Life is good.
fudd 0 #24 May 15, 2003 I drive 2.5 - 3 hours every weekend to get to the dz. Would have rocked to live there in the summer, but can't do that yet. In the winter it's snowed in. There's some winter jumping from a cesna 1.5 hours away...brrrr There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
