AggieDave 6 #26 April 24, 2003 Although I agree with you Michele (and sunshine), let me play devil's advocate a bit. Take your "average" heavy-women. The ones you see walking around Wal-Mart (to stereotype a bit). Do you think they're physically active AND that size? Say the same thing for guys. Same story. The short of it is physical fitness, since that generally does make a difference in bone density, etc. With that said, I'm "one of those" a big guy who's got a beer gut. I'm also very active and can easily deadlift well more then 400lbs. So, there's not a single mold to try to put everyone into. It should be a case by case basis, and if someone who is thought to be questionable is persistantly wanting to jump, I think that a conversation relating to this thread should be brought up. To let it go blindly by would be, in my opinion, a demonstration of a lack of responsiblity on the DZO/S&TA/Instructor's part.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." PhillyKev 0 #27 April 24, 2003 Don't forget, it's the "fat-bottomed girls that make the world go 'round". Of course I'm quoting a very fem homo-sexual male....but you get the point.
