skyboyblue 0 #1 February 4, 2003 I'm looking to do a strong TICC between now and the end of march. I've contacted examiners in missouri, iowa, and colorado and none of them are confident they can squeeze a 1-person course in. If anyone knows of anyone that would like to join me within a day's driving distance of nebraska, let me know. Or of a examiner that is willing to put one on for me, without paying out the wazoo for it, let me know. sbb
airtwardo 7 #2 February 4, 2003 I may know someone interested... If you jump a LSPC you probably know him too! I'll ask him later tonight by landline and pm ya. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
rpanter 0 #3 February 25, 2003 Have you contacted Mitch Arnold in Colorado, he was willing to do a course for just myself if I wanted a Strong rating. I am going for my Vector instead to start. Contact me and I will pass his email address along, I won't publicly post it.
iowa 0 #4 February 25, 2003 Have you talked to Jay Speckeen in Vinton, IA? He mentioned doing one 2nd or 3rd weekend or whenever the weather looks best. Contact at jay@paradise-skydives.com. I'll be there to help with evaluation dives if he needs it. Keith ''Always do sober what you said you would do drunk. skyboyblue 0 #5 February 25, 2003 talked to them both. I'm thinkng mitch is the best option right now because he's the most flexible(king air ain't so bad, too) although, steve archuletta from front range is another great option if I could just pin him down from moving and the airforce team training next month. Jay is up there too, as well as fiesty down in missouri. all I need right now is some decent weather. might wait for another candidate from lspc as well to make it a bit more affordable. thanks for the info guys
jeremyneas 0 #6 February 28, 2003 "(king air ain't so bad, too)" April we will have a full time Super Otter, and King Air. Mitch is a great instructor, but let him know in advance and have a flexable schedule, he travels alot. Not many rocket scientist tandem examiners out there. skyboyblue 0 #7 February 28, 2003 well if the f*cking weather would clear up there on a weekend sometime soon enough to make it a go, I'm there. I'm not going to 'chance' a 7.5 hour drive for shits and giggles as long as the gas prices are sky high and I'm dropping some hard earned dough on a rating(he's actually cheaper than others by about 150 bucks or less if I get another candidate to go with me). So, there's a pretty good chance if it doesn't clear, I'll get the chance to jump your otter. I'd gues I'd settle for the king air, if I could have it tomorrow...*shrugs* I'm looking forward to it no matter the plane. I actually have been talking to him for the last few weeks, midweek to see if I should come down for the weekend. flecibility is not a prob.
