no7rosman 0 #1 December 12, 2002 If your home DZ is close to sea level...What did you think the first time you jumped at a DZ that was above 4000 MSL. I have seen a lot of people who come to our DZ (4200 MSL) come in pretty hard. (Usually a late or incomplete flare) Any preferences?
quade 4 #2 December 13, 2002 Without a doubt it's "easier" to land at a lower density-altitude (low elevation and low temperature). For basic info on density-altitude, go HERE.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

mustard 0 #4 December 13, 2002 There will always be someone :-) out there to entertain you! You shouldn't have been so helpful with my landings! BTw, I really love that Sabre2. I can land it at sea level (where it feels huge), 4K, 5K, and 6.5K without any problems, even with no wind. The only thing that still happens sometimes is that I'm coming in so fast that I have to tell myself I'll be OK -- and believe it! *** DJan
