Newbie 0 #1 June 18, 2003 I only have 70 jumps, im just off my 4 way for my FS1 so i don't have that yet, although hopefully will do by the time end of July rolls round, but im wondering if Espace will be worth going to because of my low experience? I really want to get some good FF coaching, and im thinking if not Espace, just to head out to Empuria and spend a few weeks out there with Babylon. Anyone who has been/or going and knows the deal, can you let me know what you think? Thanks "Skydiving is a door" Happythoughts
Remster 30 #2 June 18, 2003 I wouldnt recommend Espace. Its not targeted to lower jump skydivers. Its main focuss is on larger formations (rw and ff). The smaller groups are in the 10 to 12 range for RW and a bit less for ff (but maybe not anymore). If this year, Espace was again at Lapalisse with regular planes (Twin Otter and Skyvans), then I’d suggest calling and seeing what could be done. But last I heard, this year its the AN72 again, and as such, big ways will be the thing. Empuria sounds like a better bet for you.Remster
Dazzle 0 #3 June 19, 2003 Any plans to come jump the AN72 again Remi?
Remster 30 #4 June 19, 2003 Very tempting Darren.... but just started a new job so vacation time isnt available... I hate to say it, but even with the WFFC within driving distance, Espace is much more appealing... Its a damm shame, coz who knows if they will fly that plane again there.... You going?Remster
Dazzle 0 #5 June 19, 2003 Yep, not sure if my freeflying will be up to groups there so may be back on my belly! As I understood it they were thinking of having the Antanov in the years that the Herc boogie isn't on so you may get another chance.
