freaksister 0 #1 July 15, 2003 Skyfest is only three days away folks. It is five days of the most fun you can have! Come join us July 17-21 at Skydive Dallas for Skyfest 2003 benefiting the Jerry Schrimsher SKydiving Scholarship Foundation (JSSSF). The scholarship enables candidates to participate in a coaching program such as USPA's coaching program and/or Skydive University (SDU). The foundation and the annual SKYFEST events are used to continue Jerry's efforts in keeping upcoming jumpers in the sport. Jerry believed coaching programs provide the bridge between student status and experienced skydiving. Money for the scholarship foundation is raised primarily through donations, raffle ticket sales, sponsorships, and registration at the annual boogie. So here are the goodies! REG. voodew1 0 #3 July 17, 2003 AHH Skyfest-- wonderful DZ in the middle of July, nice breeze oh wait this is Texas. No breeze going thru the unair conditioned packing area, the sweat from your forehead dripping on your new rig. Getting up before most humans should to meet the hot air balloons, the smoke from your cig just floats in front of your face, the wind sock limp--the balloon jump organizer comes and tells you its to windy, you look at your smoke and the wind sock, then your watch its 5am and nothing to do for 3 hrs. Think I will have to pass to much fun last year---Good luck to all!!! The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid
freaksister 0 #4 July 18, 2003 Well that was a positive response. I really appreciate it. I was doing the Schrimshers a favor by posting about the boogie. I'm sure they would appreciate your support.
