Otter at SGC for the winter!

Recommended Posts

Hey all you Skydive Green County jumpers, I was out today (little chilly) and had three very nice jumps. The surface temps were 44 degrees, winds were 3-5 kts on the ground. Good gloves made it pretty much comfortable.

Spoke with the boss, and we will have the Great Barrier Otter stationed here for the entire winter!!!! (I guess lobbying the boss's boss worked.) The bird was going to be parked anyway, so it might as well be parked here. Oh yeah, and a pilot fell in to our laps as well.

Okay, in order to make this bird fly, we need 8 jumpers to make it happen. Due to the cold, the plane will fly from noon until sunset on days where at least 8 jumpers are present.

So, here is what I propose. We should have everyone who is interested in jumping send me a pm and give me your normal e-mail address. I'll watch the weather each week and send out updates (unless Joe takes that over.) Well try to get at least 2 jump days in each month (or more if there is good interest.) If we get a mild winter, this could be good for all of us, esp those low time jumpers who need to keep current. If we only get a day or two per month, hey we keep current.

Okay, now it's up to all my SGC friends! We have a great aircraft for the winter (nice seats, good door, decent ascent speed, smiley pilot). Let's jump this winter!!! Remember, send me your e-mail!

Yup Phree, it is much better (now). But, the Bear has it's engines pulled. The next time we see her, she'll be sporting a new pair of 27s!

BTW, my HD crashed on Friday...I need your e-mail (again!) PM or home me.

No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is
sick of her shit!
