PhreeZone 20 #4 December 30, 2003 Is the Cypres rule being changed also?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
GeeeeeeFly 0 #5 December 30, 2003 It is being discussed... I have told them repeatedly that rule is why more experienced jumpers don't come down... But they are not very strict with it, and if you don't advertise it's not exactly looked into... JohnnyD 0 #12 January 8, 2004 QuoteIt is being discussed... I have told them repeatedly that rule is why more experienced jumpers don't come down...... In the early days of the cypress this may have been very valid, but in the last couple of years I don't think that rule really had much to do with it. megan1272 0 #13 January 9, 2004 Well folks - sorry for the rumor, but it looks like the deal fell through at the last minute, so there's not going to be a sale after all.
Katzeye 0 #14 January 15, 2004 Of course it did. That rumour has been going around for at least 3 years. Buzz will never let that DZ go without the deal heavily in his favor. Is a chicken omelette redundant?

scottjaco 0 #17 February 22, 2004 Any details of why it fell through?
GeeeeeeFly 0 #18 February 23, 2004 From my understanding, the new owner would still have to give percentages of the revenue brought in from the business to the previous owner. Also there were some discrepancies regarding subleasing the planes through him as well... It has been taken over by new/old management./ Andy Witcom is now the new owner of the DZ. So far he has been doing great with it. All the locals are pleased with the improvements that he has already helped with...
