Stacy 0 #233 March 11, 2004 Here's a pic of the bonfire to compete with. for a size comparison, that's The111 in front of it. __
The111 1 #234 March 11, 2004 OMG!!! I asked Missy for that pic like months ago and she never replied. I gave up hope and forgot about it. Do you have a larger version? I will frame it and put it on my wall in every room and then on some other people's walls too and then maybe on some telephone poles on the street... I really like that picture! Btw, for everyone else's benefit, I was about 30 feet from the fire and my back was HOT. I really couldn't get any closer and no one else was as close as me. I had to move after about 10 seconds, it hurt...www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Zeemax 0 #236 March 11, 2004 Dude, i've got a real London Fire Brigade issue Jacket (dont ask) it'll let you get a lot closer to the fire, or even in it. Well, your top half wont burn.. That picture actually looks like the whole DZ's gone up... sunnydee123 0 #238 March 11, 2004 OOO...ooooo...ooooo I'm game (if you trust me ). I've never jumped barefoot (oops, did I say that outloud?) and as long as it is in sand I'm cool with it....THere are some monster ant piles in and around the main landing area and my little tootsies don't want to land in them 1. a97virago 0 #244 March 12, 2004 Ok, now here's my next question... Any idea what gear rental availablity will be like? I'm debating the idea of bringing my gear down with me as I am only going to be able to spend a day (Sunday) at Sebastian. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the hassle and encumberance to hail all of my stuff down. Not to mention I'm nervous about jumping at a new DZ, especially during a boogie! I know what my DZ looks like from the air, but somewhere new.... Anyway Larry A-43434

a97virago 0 #246 March 12, 2004 Not a problem with so many people in the air? I don't mind the walk, I just like to have plenty of clear airspace. I'm still learning and my home DZ is a Cessa DZ, so I don't have to look out for too many people. Also, I'm still working on my accuracy. I have always made it back, but don't always know WHERE i'm gonna touch down. Larry A-43434

a97virago 0 #248 March 12, 2004 I absolutely intend to! I'm nothing if not a cautious jumper! How the hell did I get into this sport in the first place Ok, maybe this goes out to all the Sebastian Jumpers out there... Anyone have preliminary info I can look over before I get there. For example aerial shots of the landing area with normal jump runs. You know, Tom Buch and Make it Happen's list from Safety Day - Take 2 Larry A-43434
Zeemax 0 #249 March 12, 2004 You should be fine, Sebastian has a big open landing area, with a big ass golf course next door. Plenty of room to land and the DZ is REALLY obvious from the air, you cant miss it. Two big runways that cross... nice and visable As to gear rental, not enitrely sure. I know they have student gear, but i'm not sure about other stuff. Best bet is to shoot wendy a PM. 4 days till i cross the pond...!! skymama 37 #250 March 12, 2004 QuoteNot a problem with so many people in the air? I don't mind the walk, I just like to have plenty of clear airspace. If you're still pulling relatively high compared to the other jumpers on the load, I would suspect that you'll be placed near the back of the plane. Hence, having clear air space won't be that much of a problem for you. Sebastian has a large landing area, I think you'll be fine.
