I have been all over the last year and with all honesty, Sebastian really does have one of the biggest landing areas (that I've seen) and quite a few outs if you need them...but I promise you it is rare that you do. I've been dumped last out and wonder if I will make it back but (knock on wood) have never landed out while there. Maybe deep, but never off.

You'll be fine...wait until you see it, you will feel all warm and fuzzy about your first jump I bet.

Bring yours. First jump at a new dropzone isn't really the time to be jumping a rig/canopy you aren't familiar with.

Not quite the technical aerial you might be looking for, but it should give ya an idea of the landing area (lower triangle BTW), airport visibility, and surroundings. The picture is about a year old. Not much has changed, but there are some hangers being built and some other construction currently going on in and around the further triangle. Plenty of open landing area though. Hope it helps.

Zeemax - it's no Z-hills firepit but we still have our little hole in the ground. You can tell by the burn marks on the nearby palm tree that it has been excessive on more than one occassion.

OH, and I just got word from Rob the Pilot that we now have a band playing Friday night for us!

So vendors galore, PD, SunPath, Tony Suits, Mirage, Relative Workshop, Pink Mafia girls, DJ's, a band, dz.commers - beach jumps..

Looks like Jack is going to insist that I make at least one jump next weekend. I'm not that good of a freeflier, but if you need a sitflailin' body I could probably be coerced into it... no guarantees I'll be "there" tho.

Will we have the SkyVan?

Cuz I was digging around in the back room of the store today and I found... a raft. I haven't pulled it out of the box it's in to see if there are (or how many) holes are in it but... if the SkyVan is flying, the pilot and a/c owner are okay with it and we can inflate this thing - anybody wanna do a raft jump or two?

I actually can not make either of those things happen. We no longer have SDU here but we do still do coaching and Mike Swanson is in Perris Valley now. We do however, have other members of the Freefly Training Center here. Cisco and Chris will both be here for the weekend. Dave doesn't come back from Thailand until the 22nd.

yes we will have the SkyVan and I know that raft if it is the one I'm thinking of. I have pictures of it in my swimming pool from a party last year. That and the big red/white blue blow up beer cooler that looks like Uncle Sam's hat. It's a great raft and you know what - I've never been on a raft dive - can you believe that?

I wanna do my pre-second raft dive too. I'll pull it out of the box and check it over on Monday. Cross fingers it'll hold air.

Has anyone who's coming done raft dives before? I'm thinkin' a raft safety briefing would be a good idea before we go ridin' it out the back of the Van.

Oh yeah. The reason I even came on here. I will be offline for a couple of weeks. In exactly6 hours and 30 minutes I will be driving toward the Great State of Florida!

Coming home and jumpi8ng my but off. Tunnel Time, sunsets on the beach. Sunrises on the other beach.

Yes, I did a raft dive last summer. We had to cut the bottom to put the rope through, and the bottom ended up coming out. See the picture. But, it was fun while it lasted.

I've done the set up and dirt dives for raft dives before but I couldn't get free when the time came to do the jumps.

We didn't have to cut the raft up. With the Skyvan it's a piece of cake to launch.

On the raft I bought, there were handles on the front and sides for the rope to go through, but none in the back. So, we just cut very small slits in the bottom for the rope to go through. We practiced it a lot on the ground, I think we just stressed the area too much. We nailed the exit though out of the Skyvan.

As much 'birdmanning' as you want to do. Jari will be here. I've got a gti here. Lisa has her own suit and a demo. I'm sure some other people will be bringing suits along.

It's beautiful cruising around looking at the ocean - I've really got to stop forgetting to head back towards the dropzone!

Depending on how my neck does on an RW jump I may or may not be jumping my GTI. If I'm not it'll be available for demo along with the store's ClassicII. If I am.... flock! Flock! Flock!
