Baltimore people?

I moved to Baltimore a month or so ago, and summer's a-comin'...

I think I know all the major DZs within a couple of hours of here. I've already jumped at Delmarva, X-Keys, and Skydive Virginia in the past, and Orange I will definitely check out at some point. Any I'm missing?

But I'm more just looking for some jumpers in Baltimore to party with, since I barely know anyone here.

If you've made it to Skydive Virginia, then Skydive the Point is just a little further. We have many regulars who drive down for the weekend from Northern Virginia, though Baltimore is a little bit farther. Check out www.skydivethepoint.com for more information, and let me know if you are planning to head out. There's plenty of room to spend the night, and we have showers and all. There are a couple of us DZ.commers that jump there.

I've recently just moved to MD myself. currently living at home w/ the parents in Annapolis. Is X Keys the closest place to jump, or are there closer places? Joe, if you ever want to carpool up to X Keys, let me know!

You can check out The Skydivin' Place in Littlestown, PA. It's a neat little Cessna dz, and they jump during the week in the summer so you can sneak up after work in the evenings

You could check out Skydive Maryland. About 1 hr 15 mins from Annapolis, and about 20 Minutes to Ocean City. 3 Cessna DZ, huge 50 + acre landing area, nothing fancy as far as facilities

Maytown Sport Parachute Club, 10 miles east of York, PA. 2 C-182s, great people and wide open farm land for miles around (and the neighbors absolutely love us!) We have a few regular jumpers from the Baltimore area.

JDBoston, any chance you are still in the Baltimore area?? If so, you must have heard about Skydive Baltimore opening up! In just a couple weeks, they will be putting tandems and students up. Soon after they will be ready for fun jumpers! Just want to make sure everyone knows!!!
