ERAUSkydiver 0 #1 May 25, 2004 Anybody know what is up with the Skydive Texas website? If you go there, you just get this wierd animated dog that tries to catch your mouse pointer. Are they out of business or something? I live in Fort Worth and havent jumped since I left Florida last August. It's time to get back up the air. I plan on checking out Eagleflight in Granbury, TX, but I guess Skydive Texas is (was?) pretty close too.
chaoskitty 0 #2 May 25, 2004 Skydive Texas is in Lexington, which is East of Austin and not really close to Fort Worth. Skydive Temple is closer.. thats in Salado. Skydive Dallas is closer too. You are correct that granbury is your closest dz. Dunno whats up with the website.
Skydive2 1 #3 May 25, 2004 The Skydive Texas you are referring to was located near Decatur TX, and closed a few months ago. There is a small Cessna DZ further down south near Austin that goes by Skydive Texas, or Texas skydiving center. Lance
freakflyer9999 1 #4 May 25, 2004 Skydive Texas is out of business, but Skydive Dallas is still going strong and Eagleflight Skydiving in Granbury is flying a couple of 182s. They have a boogie coming up in June that they are bringing in a Casa for. Come on out and enjoy the view over Lake Granbury.

Nevermind that they have a really good group of folks and has a really good feeling DZ. I used to jump there until SD Aggieland opened (which is 10minuts from my place instead of 3 hours), the folks there are great and the view is really nice as well. /me is really excited about the CASA boogie in a couple weeks there!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
