Lol...close, but no cigar. It's funny...I have accepted the invitation to Carolina Sky Sports with Portia and the foxy Foxforce ladies, where I will be attempting the beginner bigways and spritzing myself with lavendar...:P Yes, that is the plan...B|

Btw, Jake, I have heard all about the beach jumps at Coastal Carolinas...it sounds really nice. Have fun! :)

Why are you guys closing? That was the place to be last year .

Do you believe it? Gene Paul is taking his aircraft to Pikeville, Kentucky. That is where his family is from. Of course his leased aircraft is still flying, but his own home DZ customers and school are out of luck. It really hurts us (the school) to be closed that weekend.

But with every situation we are trying to look on the bright side. We were looking to go to Skydive Coastal Carolina as DaGimp posted. However, I just learned that Southport has a huge 4th of July festival that attracts thousands. As a result all the motels/hotels are booked or at least $150 a night. Plus with so many others traveling to the same spot - it makes restaurants and driving less enjoyable.

So---- we are looking into other alternatives. I'll keep you posted where we end up!!

I'll keep a watch here cause I am still trying to figure out what to do - and I need to decide quick cuz flights aren't getting any cheaper either.

Wonder if there will be anyone else due for a pieing this year (like Amish last year) :P

Well you got your wish! This is a copy of what I sent out to our group. See you soon!

Ok! The vote was to go to Louisburg and join Carolina SkySports. Please follow the below link to see their DZ. Please make a reservation immediately at the below information for the Hamptom Inn. Rates are $59 per night for a king bed or double beds. I got the rate reduced to $53.10 plus tax with a AAA membership. Tony & I will be leaving Sunday, but the boogie continues through Monday July 5th.

I will ask Tony to write up directions to the DZ from Raeford. Plus we need to see if some want to car pool together.

Ladies - check out the camp for women........

Please forward this e-mail to anyone that may be interested in joining us!!

Hi foxy ladies...I was sooo looking forward to attending this event. I am so inspired by your all-female 4-way team. Unfortunately, I doubt that I will be able to participate in your Big Way Formation Skill Building Camp. I broke my ankle, yesterday. :(

Portia, I am so very sad that this happened as I was really, really looking forward to flying with you all. I even did my first 14 & 16-ways last weekend. A friend told me to go, anyway, but it is so depressing to watch others jump when you can't.

Jake...sigh. [:/] Well, have fun anyway, sweetie. Take some beautiful pics.
