Well, you have SD Temple a bit away from you and a little further away you have SD Aggieland. If you head south a ways you can get to SD San Marcos, if you go north a bit up 6 you can get to Eagle Flight Skydiving. Eloy is pretty close too. Drive north to Dallas on I-35, get to to DFW, book a flight and you'll be in Tucsan before you know it.

Skydive Dallas is actually in Whiteright (near Sherman) -- less than an hour from G'ville (my old home town!)

I don't know how fast you drive, but it is 195 miles from Gatesville to Whitewright.

I bet he saw Gatesville and thought "Gainesville" which is a stone's throw (in TX distance) from SD Dallas. Its also a stone's throw from Oklahoma, which is another thread entirely.
