helldog 0 #1 June 2, 2004 I'm headed out to port canaveral florida on the 16th for 2 weeks (woo hoo), and I'm looking for a RW friendly drop zone within an hours driving time. Blue Ones Jimbo
flyhi 24 #2 June 2, 2004 Titusville has some RW. Deland has some RW, but you'll do better to bring your own team. Sebastian has some. If you want to travel a little more, Lake Wales and Z-Hills have always been real kind to RW folk.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. jeffallen 0 #3 June 3, 2004 Skydive Space Center in Titusville is about 30 min. North. There are always people there willing to do some RW jumps. 15K every laod, 18K is available also. Nice veiw, nice planes, nice people. Sebastain is a little over an hour from there, also a good place. See you in Titusville, Jeff.
freefalle 0 #4 June 3, 2004 I recommend Titusville as well, great people who are always willing to make the 4 way a 5 or more way. There hit and miss during the week though so make sure you call first. Deland is okay too and they are getting loads up however sometimes during the week its a bit slow. bendywendy 0 #5 June 4, 2004 We will be jumping at Sebastian during the week except for on Tuesdays, of course. We usually have some RW jumpers around on the weekends. During the week - it's hard to say who will be popping in. The plane will be flying but it's hard to say who will be on it. We don't have any RW organizers on during the week. pccoder 0 #6 June 6, 2004 Skydive Space Center, one of the best DZs in the world!! Great load organizers, superb landing area and plenty of sky nectar (hot female skydivers)!!! PcCoder.net
lowtimer 0 #7 June 9, 2004 helldog, I share your happiness! This is odd. Using the money for something worthwhile, usually it's all stuck in some floozie's buttfloss within 6 hours. ---------------------------------- Successfully avoiding adult responsibility since 1978! Vertifly 0 #8 June 9, 2004 Quotedoing the canopy course at Deland You could easily go there and have fun. I had low time jumps when visiting Deland and found it to be cool. Just talk to Jimmy Tranter or Chris Hayes before heading over there; I know them to be pretty cool and helpful guys. Just be friendly and let people know that you are looking for someone to jump with and you'll be fine. I jumped with a couple of guys who both had 40-some jumps a couple of weekends ago. It was fun! The canopy course is a great idea, you should definitely do it. When are you coming? And, to answer you question, Titusville, Palatka, Lake Wales, Sebastian and Z-hills are all within 2 hours (give or take a few minutes) from Deland. Try to go to the tunnel too, you'll get some great training there also. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
 lowtimer 0 #10 June 10, 2004 I'll be there Sunday through Tuesday. I'll definitely check out the tunnel! Thanks! ---------------------------------- Successfully avoiding adult responsibility since 1978!
