Moab

Recommended Posts

Skydive Arizona will work in conjunction with Skydive Moab to put on a boogie in one of the world’s most scenic settings this fall. Skydive Arizona will bring its fast, 16 place King Air A 100 to Canyonlands Airport October 1-3.
If there is sufficient demand we will add a Super Otter.

Moab is a spectacular place, world famous for its scenery and a Mecca for outdoor activities. Mountain biking, off road driving, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and backpacking are world class. There is an active BASE jumping community and a number of legal BASE jump sites not far from town. Because Moab caters to adventure tourism, there are motels and restaurants for every budget and lots of shops and tour outfitters. This is the ideal place to bring non-jumping friends or family for an adventure outing.

The airport is literally across the street from Arches National Park and just a few miles north of Canyonlands National Park. Weather in the early fall is perfect for skydiving, with temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s (25 C) during the day and upper 40s (5 C) at night. If you need to be convinced about what a great location this is for a boogie, take a look at photos on one of these web sites:

Excellent ...

As someone who has jumped at Skydive Moab, I can tell you that not only is the DZO a great person who will go out of his way to accomodate fun-jumpers, but the scenery is also beautiful.

Well the Pixie be there

:SIs that a yes or a no? Cause if it's a yes, then I'll try to make it to see you.
May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey

Sounds fabulous plus I've been wanting to visit since my pal Keith told me what his bro had done :P and then showed me pictures. Holy cow that place looks amazing!

Hope to see this thread grow and the crowds commit so we can get an Otter too :)

What else is there?

You forgot wingsuit and tracking dives. But your list was still good. This is going to be one fun weekend. Will there be enough time in the weekend to do it all?
