pullhigh 0 #1 June 20, 2003 Does anyone know if, and if, how often a tandem master is supposed to update their FAA Flight Physical? I know you have to get it for the rating, but I don't see any expiration date anywhere or anything. I've never heard anyone around the DZ talk about getting it renewed or anything.... What gives? Ron 10 #2 June 20, 2003 You ahve to have a current Flight Physical (Or HALO Physical from the military). They expire in 3 years. And if you have any changes in your status...they are invalid. Thats the short story....I don't want to get into the long one. pullhigh 0 #3 June 20, 2003 Cool, so I have to have it re-done every three years. Thanks alot for the help. I don't see any sort of expiration date on the thing at all, so I was unsure. Ganja
jeremyneas 0 #4 June 20, 2003 Tandem masters only need a third class medical certificate. Renew Every three years if your under 40. Renew Every two years if your over 40. First classers renew every 6 months, second classers renew every year. J.Neas
MikeTJumps 4 #5 June 21, 2003 Flight physicals have their own expiration dates. A class 3 physical has either a 3 or 2 year term depending up the age of the person it was issued to. See the back of the form! An up to date physical certificate is required for ratings renewals.Mike Turoff Instructor Examiner, USPA Co-author of Parachuting, The Skydiver's Handbook
