Plummets 0 #1 July 15, 2004 To those that've done both Aerograd and Empuria....How do they compare ?? Price and planes (+helicopter) look great, what's the catch? What about nightlife ?? I trust it won't be under 4 foot of snow at the end of august !! "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"
vt1977 0 #2 July 16, 2004 I've never been to Aerograd but I have been to Empuria in August... weather was great but the town was absolutely packed with German tourists, the accommodation was at least double the normal price and it was a complete nightmare finding anywhere to stay in the first place! DancingFlame 0 #3 July 16, 2004 Nightlife after 6-8 jumps... eeeh, there should be some time to sleep Weather at Empuria will be definitely better that at Aerograd. It often rains at Aerograd in August... you may make 10 jumps one day and sit on the ground all remaining week...

DancingFlame 0 #7 July 19, 2004 Quoteput off the clouds until spetember or they'll kill me I'm trying! (need a 'WIZARD' emoticon here :) Last weekend was too rainy, only 20-25 loads on Saturday and about 15 in Sunday But now, sun is shining and I think 'f...ng WORK DAY! why do I have to sit here when others are jumping there!' // comments from vonSants: 'Girls in Russia are SO HOT! Uhh, I'm gonna stay here for some more time //

altichick 1 #9 July 20, 2004 Never been to Empuria but just got back from three weeks at Kolomna and had a great time. Weather has been a bit iffy at times but when it's good it's a great DZ. Weekend before last I think there was about 60 loads on Saturday Nigtlife at the DZ depends on who's there on any given night. It's very differnt to the UK - where every night involves some sort of drinking! There are a couple of clubs in the town itself but (unless you speak Russian) you need to be with a crowd to have a really good time! Or drink extra Vodka Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!
DancingFlame 0 #10 July 21, 2004 Hi, Sally Did you like jumping in shorts ? Oh, I know you did ! Usually, in august weather is not that good as in July. But it will be big boogies (12-24 august) at Aerograd, and a 110-way attempts.
