1st Annual M.O.A.B. Boogie! Mother Of All Boogies

Recommended Posts

Skydive Moab will be holding it's 1st annual M.O.A.B. Boogie!!

Mother Of All Boogies!!!

Where: Moab Airport Date: October 1-3, 2004

We will be flying Skydive Arizona's King Air A100 (or their Super Otter if enough people pre-register).

They will be bringing one of their own organizers, TJ Langren from the AZ Training Center. He'll be organizing all kinds of cool skydives and offering Coach jumps during the boogie.

Birdman organizing by Jay Epstein of Adrenaline Exploits! Come fly your birdman suit up and down the canyons.

Sunset Cross Country Hop N Pops from 12,500. A full load (16 or 22) opening up a few miles up the canyon at sunset.

We'll fly and jump over the most amazing rocks and canyons! You'll jump over the Colorado or Green river. The sheer cliffs are 300-500' tall and you add on the talus and your flying around 1000'+ walls surrounding you. Think about flying your canopy downtown in a big city, it's kind of like that but a little different.

These will be the most amazing jumps you'll do until next year when you come back.

Field elevation at the airport is 4550'. Come get your high altitude swoop on!

For experienced canopy pilots, you can fly right beside a BASE jumper as he is running off the cliff. You won't ever get a chance to do this anywhere else besides Norway.

Average high temp for the beginning of October is 83F. Avg low is 45F. Perfect for camping!

Moab averages 360 days of sunshine and about 5% humidity.

There will be plenty of GO FAST Energy Drinks for the event!!

Registration is only $25 if you register by Sept. 17th; it's $35 after that date.

Jumps will only be $21 or 10 for $200(subject to change without notice).

Bring your Cameras!! We'll have a camera set up to fire-wire all of your cool video shots. We WILL be making a video of the boogie and we'd love to use your video! We'll be using a professional production company, Barking Frog Productions!

We'll also have Moab Action Shots taking pictures during the boogie!

The Sunshine Deli will be feeding us their delicious sandwiches and much more, all weekend long!

For Dinner and Great Beer, The Moab Brewery is the place to be!
Evening Festivities organized by Redeye

My mom is coming arriving on the 29th of Sept. She is getting in at 2pm. There is a shuttle service.

http://www.roadrunnershuttle.com/air.htm

The shuttle service leaves at 2pm sharp. Everyday.

Let me know when everyone is arriving so that everyone doesn't have to struggle for a ride.

Hey Clint, how many preregistered do you have to date and now many do you need to get the otter? I trulely believe that if you bring it, they will come. Its the deciding factor for me for sure. Nothing against KA's but, well, you know.......its an Otter dude.

Hey LoudDan,

What day and time are you planning on flying into SLC? I would be in on the caravan if there is still a seat left! Do you plan on caravaning back as well? Again, date and time so I can arrange flight times..

Cheers.
Brad

Well.... it's going to be a bunch of people showing up on that Friday. We are starting to get a few pre-registrations this week.

We are expecting 40-80 jumpers. It's hard to say right now.

Last minute decision is what's going to happen.

It really doesn't matter what plane shows up, the people and the scenery are what's going to make this boogie!!

We just jumped into Red Cliffs Lodge yesterday and Oh, MY GOD! Amazing!!

See you there!

Clint,
Thanks again for helping me out with the hassle I experienced with my pre-registration. I'm looking forward to the boogie.

Just the head count that I know about from a small group here in Colorado, we are about eight strong.

Hope to make it...:) from SLC to/from the boogie??

Sal

It might be a tad bit expensive, but if you can get your ticket changed to Durango, Colorado, you'd be more than welcome to ride up with us. It's just over three hours from here.

How are the numbers looking? I heard rumor that the Otter will be there instead of the King Air.

True or False?

Who told you that? I know but it'll be a surprize!

Actually I dont know but we do have about 70 jumpers already coming!

Will it make a difference if we had the otter?
