Kuper 0 #1 August 11, 2004 dragon2 and all the other Netherlands jumpers - i need your help urgently (flight tonight 03:00): i planned to come next week to jump in Texel, and maybe Hilversum or Teague as well, and bring my own rig with me. but according to the forecast on the net - there are showers all over Holland and i don't want to carry the rig for nothing WHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! on the web it looks pretty bad. is it so?! do you have any jumps at all on these weeks? Fab 0 #2 August 11, 2004 People will probably be jumping next week. The weather forcast isn't too good though for next week. About 50% chance of having rain each day of the week. Take your rig with you and hope for the best. Weather forcast here in holland aren't to reliable to begin with anyway _______________________________________
dragon2 2 #3 August 11, 2004 Next week are the nationals, so of course the weather is gonna be bad!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, don't know about the weather. All I do know is, if I listened to the weaher forecasts here all the time, I'd hardly jump! If you're willing to jump below cloudlevel, you stand a good chance. It's not often I go an entire weekend without jumping 'cause of clouds. The weather forecasts haven't been that good all week, but most of the time it looked fine to me looking out of my office window ciel bleu, Saskia
dragon2 2 #4 August 11, 2004 Oh and it's Teuge, and I definately plan on jumping this fri-sat-sun!! ciel bleu, Saskia

dragon2 2 #6 August 11, 2004 Our nationals Although for some reason the Dutch Skydiving Championships (NKP) are held in Germany again Yeah I mean jumping from a bit lower then 12k. Did 2200 ft once but usually you get (a lot) more altitude ciel bleu, Saskia
Kuper 0 #7 August 11, 2004 wow man!!! YOUR NATIONALS sound very cool thing!!!! when and where? Teague or somewhere else?http://www.orikuper.printroom.com
dragon2 2 #8 August 11, 2004 It's Teuge No the nationals are held in Germany, just over the border tho. A bit over an hour by car from Teuge I think. http://www.skydive-stadtlohn.de/NKP2004.htm http://www.parachute.nl/fileadmin/knvvlpa_upload/pdf/nkp_flyer.pdf There may be a Grand Caravan going there from Teuge, for the party saturday 21st, like last year... ciel bleu, Saskia
Kuper 0 #9 August 11, 2004 ok! ok! i'm sorry! i didn't notice i made that mistake and that it's Teuge so... you gonna eb ther on the weekend, but do they jump all the week in Teuge or just on weekends?http://www.orikuper.printroom.com
dragon2 2 #10 August 11, 2004 The DZ is open all week in summer, with jumping from 9 to 8, and 10 to 8 on sundays. However since I have to work, I'm 'only' there 3 days a week, most of the time. ciel bleu, Saskia
Kuper 0 #11 August 11, 2004 i think 3 days is good enough i'll probably be there just on a weekday next week, i'll be in Utrecht till monday, and i'll get to Teuge just if my family give my a ride... i hope i'll succeed in convincing them anyway - if i'll get to see you on weekend and if not - have a great weekend and blue and sunny sky, and thank you very very much for your help! Ori. p.s. - i fixed the Teuge thing in this message's subject as wellhttp://www.orikuper.printroom.com

Fab 0 #13 August 12, 2004 just checked some schedules for you. You can't get to texel anymore at that time if you use public transport and will leave at 20:00 from schiphol. last possible departure is 19:30 from schiphol. Train (intercity) to den helder. Then bus 33 to 'steiger tesoboot'. Then take the boat to texel. travel time appr. 2.5 hours. _______________________________________
